Polly O'Connor has a real passion for textiles, creations that ooze mess and imperfection and bespoke one offs (I too hate things that are too perfect and mass produced!)

She is well travelled and has previously made a range of wedding stationery to die for (including raw silk, delicate beading and rich metallic stitching)

The wedding stationery became so popular, the hobby soon turned in to a thriving business. Polly soon realised she didn't want to work all hours making repetative pieces so decided to turn her passion in to creating individual pieces for the lady or home.

She has such an eye for detail mixing different mediums and

I love how she only creates one offs.

I must admit I was dubious hearing about melted cellophane

in rich fabrics with frays and beaded patches, but the finished product was amazing.

I've recently comissioned her to make me some fingerless gloves with my favourite old cashmere jumper that was

covered in moth holes, yet I couldn't bear to throw it out.

Next winter I will still have my cashmere jumper .....

but instead it will be on my wrist!
